Meet Kimberly - LLMSW

I believe God desires every person to experience true flourishing—a life marked by wholeness, purpose, and meaningful connection. Drawing from a biblical understanding of shalom, flourishing involves living in authentic relationship with God and others, engaging with beauty and creativity, and continuing to learn, grow, and discover. While we live in a world affected by brokenness and suffering, I believe God is actively at work restoring and renewing all things. It is my privilege to walk alongside clients as they pursue healing, growth, and new life through the transforming power of Christ.

At the beginning of our work together, we will discuss the role faith will play in therapy. Whether you would like your Christian beliefs (if applicable) to be central to our sessions or prefer a more limited integration of faith, I respect your preferences and will tailor our work accordingly.

Background & Training

limited integration of faith, I respect your preferences and will tailor our work accordingly.

As a wife and mother of five children ranging from middle school age to young adulthood, I bring both professional expertise and personal life experience to the counseling relationship. My own journey has included parental divorce, an abusive marriage, cancer diagnoses, marital separation and divorce, major life transitions, career changes, remarriage, seasons of faith questioning, and experiences of church hurt. These experiences have deepened my compassion and strengthened my commitment to helping others navigate difficult seasons with hope and resilience.

I have a special passion for working with women who are experiencing (or have experienced) abusive relationships, discerning whether to pursue reconciliation or divorce, rebuilding life after divorce, or recovering from betrayal trauma related to infidelity or pornography use. I also enjoy working with couples, supporting co-parenting relationships, and counseling adolescents ages 14 and older.

My clinical approach is rooted in a trauma-informed perspective, ensuring that the emotional and psychological safety of my clients is always the priority. To facilitate healing and growth, I frequently utilize evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy, which help individuals identify unhelpful patterns and reframe their personal stories toward a future of hope and renewal. Furthermore, as a Recognized Smart Stepfamily Therapy Provider through the Smart Stepfamilies organization, I am specially equipped to assist blended families in building healthy, resilient dynamics.

Kim has opening for new clients beginning the end of August. Reach out today to book an appointment and learn more about working with Kim!
